A note from the Organising Chairperson

Dear Colleagues, Researchers, and Friends of Anatomy,

It is my distinct privilege to invite you to the International Summit on Human Anatomy — ISHA 2027, hosted by the Department of Anatomy at AIIMS Jodhpur from 4 to 7 February 2027.

The theme — Exploring Human Structure in the Age of Innovation: From Dissection to Diagnosis — captures a defining shift in our discipline. Anatomy today is no longer a static foundation; it is a living, evolving language that bridges the cadaveric lab, radiological imaging, surgical robotics, and AI-driven diagnostics.

We have curated a programme that honours classical anatomical scholarship while opening space for the technologies redefining it. Our pre-conference workshops on Semen Analysis for Andrology and Bone Retrieval will deliver hands-on training of the highest standard.

I look forward to welcoming you personally to AIIMS Jodhpur in February 2027.

Dr. Surajit Ghatak
Organising Chairperson, ISHA 2027

International Summit on Human Anatomy

ISHA 2027 is a landmark four-day summit organised by the Department of Anatomy at AIIMS Jodhpur, bringing together over 500 anatomists, clinicians, scientists, and young investigators from India and abroad. The summit is structured around a pre-conference workshop day (4 February) followed by three days of scientific sessions, plenary lectures, panel debates, and poster presentations (5-7 February). ISHA 2027 is designed to be the most consequential gathering of clinical and academic anatomists in South Asia in the year ahead.
