Welcome

Dear Colleagues, Researchers, and Friends of Anatomy,

It is our distinct privilege to invite you to the International Summit on Human Anatomy — ISHA 2027, hosted by the Department of Anatomy at AIIMS Jodhpur from 4 to 7 February 2027.

The theme — Exploring Human Structure in the Age of Innovation: From Dissection to Diagnosis — captures a defining shift in our discipline. Anatomy today is no longer a static foundation; it is a living, evolving language that bridges the cadaveric lab, radiological imaging, surgical robotics, and AI-driven diagnostics.

We have curated a programme that honours classical anatomical scholarship while opening space for the technologies redefining it. Our pre-conference workshops on Semen Analysis for Andrology and Bone Retrieval will deliver hands-on training of the highest standard.

We look forward to welcoming you personally to AIIMS Jodhpur in February 2027.

International Summit on Human Anatomy

The Department of Anatomy at AIIMS Jodhpur is pleased to announce an International Summit on Human Anatomy, scheduled from 5th–7th February 2027, with a pre-conference CME on 4th February 2027.

This prestigious event aims to bring together anatomists and scientists from across the globe to present, discuss, and debate the latest advancements in anatomy and allied disciplines. The theme of the summit, “Exploring Human Structure in the Age of Innovation: From Dissection to Diagnosis,” reflects the evolving landscape of anatomical sciences in modern medicine.

The pre-conference workshops will focus on specialized areas such as Andrology and Bone Retrieval. We strongly encourage students and young investigators to participate and showcase their research.

The summit is expected to host over 500 distinguished doctors and experts of state, national, and international repute, offering an excellent platform for academic exchange and professional networking.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in this landmark event. Your association will provide valuable exposure for your products and services to a highly specialized and influential audience.

Bridge Disciplines

Connect classical dissection-based anatomy with imaging, AI, and translational diagnostics.

Enable Young Researchers

Provide a platform for postgraduate students and early-career investigators to present and publish.

Foster Global Exchange

Build durable academic relationships between Indian and international anatomy departments.

ISHA 2027 — Dissection to Diagnosis

Four days. One mission. The most consequential gathering of clinical and academic anatomists in South Asia in the year ahead.

The Theme

“Exploring Human Structure in the Age of Innovation: From Dissection to Diagnosis” reflects a defining shift in our discipline. Anatomy is no longer a static foundation for medicine — it is a living, evolving language that bridges the cadaveric lab, radiological imaging, surgical robotics, and AI-driven diagnostics. ISHA 2027 is built around that bridge.

The Audience

Over 500 distinguished anatomists, clinicians, surgeons, radiologists, embryologists, neuroscientists, postgraduate students, and early-career researchers — drawn from institutions of state, national, and international repute. ISHA 2027 is curated as a platform for both established voices and emerging investigators.

The Programme

A pre-conference workshop day on 4 February — Semen Analysis for Andrology and Bone Retrieval — followed by three days of plenaries, symposia, free papers, and poster sessions from 5 to 7 February. Six scientific tracks span gross and clinical anatomy, embryology, neuroanatomy, histology, anatomy in the AI era, and anatomy education and body donation.

The Setting

Jodhpur — the Blue City of Rajasthan — offers a setting unlike any other Indian conference destination. A UNESCO-listed Mehrangarh Fort, the palaces of the Marwar legacy, indigo lanes, and the warm hospitality for which India is known. The science happens at AIIMS; the experience extends well beyond it.
