Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before, during, and after registering for ISHA 2027.
Who should attend ISHA 2027?
ISHA 2027 is designed for anatomists, clinicians (especially surgeons, radiologists, and reproductive medicine specialists), embryologists, neuroscientists, postgraduate students in anatomy and allied disciplines, and early-career researchers in human structural biology. International delegates from any country are welcome.
What are the registration fees?
National delegates: Faculty — ₹10,000 (Early Bird) / ₹11,000 (Standard) / ₹12,000 (Spot). PG Students — ₹7,000 / ₹7,500 / ₹8,000.
International delegates: $400 Faculty / $300 PG (Early Bird & Standard). $500 all (Spot).
Pre-conference workshops: ₹3,500 Faculty / ₹3,000 PG (same across all windows). See the Registration page for full details.
When does the Early Bird period end?
Early Bird registration is open from 1 July 2026 and closes on 30 October 2026. Standard registration runs from 1 November to 31 December 2026. Spot registration is available on-site at AIIMS Jodhpur on conference days.
What is included in the registration fee?
All registrations include access to scientific sessions (5–7 February), the conference kit, lunches on all three conference days, the conference banquet on 6 February, and a certificate of attendance. Workshop fees are separate and do not include the above unless the delegate also registers for the main conference.
Can I attend only the pre-conference workshop without registering for the main conference?
Yes. Workshops on 4 February are independently bookable. However, conference registration is required to attend the main scientific sessions on 5–7 February. A workshop-only registration does not include the conference kit, banquet, or access to scientific sessions.
Are registration fees refundable?
Registration fees, once paid, are non-refundable. In exceptional circumstances (medical emergency, visa refusal), the organising committee may consider a credit transfer to a future ISHA event at their discretion. Contact registration@isha2027.com with supporting documentation.
Do PG students need to submit any additional documents?
Yes. PG students must upload a bonafide certificate from their Head of Department confirming their enrolment at the time of registration. This is required to avail the PG student rate. Indian delegates must also hold NMC-recognised qualifications.
Are abstracts peer-reviewed?
Yes. All abstracts are reviewed by the Scientific Committee chaired by Dr. Shilpi G Dixit and Dr. Pushpa Potaliya. Accepted abstracts are scheduled for oral or poster presentation, and selected abstracts are eligible for the Young Investigator Award. Review decisions are final.
What is the difference between Early-Breaking and Standard abstract submission?
Early-Breaking abstracts (deadline 30 October 2026) are reviewed first and receive priority consideration for plenary and invited symposium slots. Acceptance notifications are sent by 15 November 2026. Standard abstracts (deadline 31 December 2026) are reviewed in the second cycle and primarily allocated to free-paper oral sessions and poster presentations. Notifications by 15 January 2027.
What is the word limit for abstracts?
The abstract body (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion) must be between 250 and 300 words. The title is limited to 25 words and is not counted in the body word limit. Keywords (3–5) are required and are also excluded from the word count.
Can I submit an abstract if I have not yet registered?
Yes, you may submit an abstract before completing registration. However, the presenting author must complete registration and payment before the final acceptance is confirmed. Abstracts without a registered presenting author will not appear in the final programme.
How many co-authors are permitted?
Up to 5 co-authors may be listed, each with their full name, affiliation, and email. The submission form provides separate fields for each. All co-authors must have read and approved the abstract prior to submission (confirmed via declaration checkbox).
Can the same author submit multiple abstracts?
Yes. A presenting author may submit up to two abstracts for ISHA 2027, provided they are registered delegates. Each abstract must be submitted as a separate form entry and will be reviewed independently. If both are accepted, the programme committee will schedule them in non-overlapping slots where possible.
What does the conference schedule look like?
4 February: Pre-conference workshops (Andrology & Bone Retrieval) + Welcome Reception.
5 February: Inaugural ceremony, keynote, Plenary 1, free papers, Poster Session 1.
6 February: Plenaries 2, parallel symposia, Poster Session 2, Conference Banquet.
7 February: Plenary 3, Panel Debate, Young Investigator Awards, Valedictory Function.
See the full Programme page for detailed session timings.
What are the pre-conference workshops about?
Two parallel full-day workshops run on 4 February 2027:
1. Semen Analysis for Andrology — WHO-compliant protocols, morphology, CASA, QC (30 seats).
2. Bone Retrieval & Specimen Preparation — cadaveric retrieval, defleshing, articulation, preservation (25 seats).
Seats are limited and allocated first-come, first-served. See the Workshops page for full curriculum.
Will the conference proceedings / presentations be available after the event?
Accepted abstracts will be compiled into a conference abstract booklet distributed to all registered delegates. Select oral presentations may be made available as recorded sessions at the discretion of the speaker. The booklet will be shared digitally with all delegates after the conference.
Is the conference banquet included in registration?
Yes. The conference banquet on 6 February 2027 is included in the main conference registration fee (Faculty, PG Student, and International rates). It is not included in workshop-only registrations or associate delegate passes. The venue will be announced closer to the event.
How do I get a visa invitation letter for the conference?
Once you have completed registration and payment, you can request a visa invitation letter via the Visa Information page. Submit the form with your passport bio page and registration receipt. Letters are issued within 5–7 working days. We recommend applying for your visa at least 8 weeks before travel.
Can I get an e-Visa for India to attend the conference?
Most international delegates can apply for an e-Visa (Conference category) online at the official Indian e-Visa portal — no embassy visit required. Processing typically takes 3–5 business days. Check your country’s eligibility and the current requirements at indianvisaonline.gov.in before applying.
Is there a conference shuttle from the airport and railway station?
Yes. Complimentary shuttle services will run from Jodhpur Airport and Jodhpur Junction to AIIMS Jodhpur on 4 February 2027 (arrival day) and return on 7 February (departure day). During 5–7 February, shuttles will run from designated conference hotels to AIIMS and back. Indicate your shuttle preference during registration or email accommodation@isha2027.com.
Are there hotels with conference rates near AIIMS Jodhpur?
Yes. Negotiated conference rates have been arranged with several Jodhpur hotels across budget tiers. Mention “ISHA 2027” when booking, or contact accommodation@isha2027.com for the full list and booking assistance. See the Hotel Guide for all recommended properties with approximate rates and distances from AIIMS.
What language will the conference be conducted in?
All scientific sessions, plenary lectures, and workshops will be conducted in English. Abstract submissions must also be in English. The conference banquet and cultural evening will include performances in regional languages.
Will there be a Young Investigator Award?
Yes. The Young Investigator Award recognises the best original research presented by an author aged 35 or under. Eligible candidates must indicate their intent to be considered at the time of abstract submission. Shortlisted candidates will be informed after abstract acceptance. The award will be presented at the Valedictory Function on 7 February 2027.
Will certificates be issued to all delegates?
Yes. Certificates of attendance will be issued to all registered delegates who attend the conference. Separate certificates are issued for workshop participation. Certificates for oral and poster presenters will note the title of their accepted abstract. All certificates will be emailed digitally after the conference.
