Color System
Six brand colors only. Every UI element on the site resolves to one of these tokens — no off-palette hex codes.
Primary
Brand color. Headings, primary CTAs, links, badges.
Secondary
Eyebrows, accents, secondary CTA hover, soft highlights.
Accent
Alerts, urgent CTAs, “New” badges. Use sparingly.
Text
Body copy, default headings on light backgrounds.
Background
Page background, alternating section bg, soft surfaces.
White
Card surfaces, header bg, content panels.
Typography
Two fonts only — Poppins for headings, Inter for body and UI. Type scales via clamp() for responsive behavior.

When does early-bird registration close?
Early-bird rates are valid until 30 September 2026. After that date, regular pricing applies. All registrations include access to scientific sessions, workshops, and the welcome reception.
Can I submit an abstract after registering?
Yes. Abstract submission is independent of registration. You may submit up to two abstracts as the presenting author. Submission deadline: 15 November 2026.
Are CME credits available?
ISHA 2027 is accredited for continuing medical education. International delegates receive a certificate of attendance with credit hours specified per session.
Spacing Scale
Three section sizes — compact, default, spacious. All values clamp() to scale down on mobile. No custom px values are permitted in section padding.
section-xl · Spacious
Hero, registration tier blocks, pre-footer CTA. Reserved for sections that need maximum prominence. Mobile: 88px.
section-lg · Default
Standard content sections — speakers, workshops, programme, venue. Used 95% of the time. Mobile: 72px.
section-md · Compact
Sponsor rows, announcement strips, secondary content. Use only when content is purely visual and dense. Mobile: 48px.
Form Design
Single field treatment across the entire site — input, dropdown, textarea, file upload, and submit button share radius, padding, and border tokens.
Image Styles
Three reusable image treatments. All images use object-fit: cover with explicit aspect-ratio. Lazy-loaded by default.
Rounded Image · 12px radius
Default for content imagery — workshops, tourism, news. Ratio applied via parent container.
Speaker Portrait · 1:1 + 12px radius
Square portrait, focal-point top-center. Used in all speaker, committee, and chair cards.
Pill / Avatar · full radius
Circular avatar for footer mini bios, testimonial cards, organiser logos. Max width 80px.
Image + 55% black gradient overlay
Linear gradient (180deg, transparent → rgba(0,0,0,0.65)). Used for all image-backed hero sections to ensure WCAG AA text contrast.
Icon System
Single icon family. Stroke 1.75 universally. Sizes 16/20/24/32/48 only. Color always inherits from currentColor — never hard-coded.
